Williams to release another big-band album

Robbie Williams is releasing a second big band album.

Robbie Williams is releasing a second big band album.

The 38-year-old pop star wants to make another record in the same style as his 2001 hit 'Swing When You're Winning' and he is planning on going into the studio once he has completed his 'Take the Crown Stadium Tour' in August.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Robbie can't sit still, he always wants to do something different from the previous album.

"He's currently weighing up which swing classics to record. There are so many, so it's going to be a tough choice.

"He loved 'Swing When You're Winning' and is looking forward to playing with a big band again."

Williams' most recent release 'Take the Crown' saw him return to mainstream pop and his hit single 'Candy' was co-written by his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow.

'Swing When You're Winning' was comprised of swing classics, such as 'Mack the Knife' and 'Mr Bojangles', and featured a number of duets, including collaborations with Nicole Kidman on 'Somethin' Stupid' and 'They Can't Take That Away from Me' with Rupert Everett.

It is rumoured that Barlow could feature on a track further cementing the pair's repaired friendship since Williams rejoined Take That in 2010.
