Taylor Swift granted four-year-old Jalene’s last wish by speaking to her on the phone for 20 minutes.
The 25-year-old singer made a surprise FaceTime call to Jalene Salinas, who is suffering from an aggressive form of terminal brain cancer, on Monday to make the youngster's final dream come true after she expressed a desire to dance with Taylor to her hit 'Shake it Off'.
“I’m so sorry you’re having a bad night, I’m so happy to talk to you though and I’m so happy you like Shake it Off,” Taylor said to Jalene during the 20-minute chat.
“You look beautiful tonight, you really do. You’re just as pretty as your pictures.”
According to a USA Today report, Jalene was said to be "in pain" and as a result "didn't talk much" to her heroine but she did say "bye and thank you" to the superstar singer.
Jalene's final dream came true after Taylor's fans - known as Swifties - started a social networking campaign to get #ShakeItOffJalene trending after hearing about her dying wish.
As the hashtag was trending, KENS 5 News in Atlanta received this video message from Jalene and her mom.
Following the surprise chat, Jennifer admitted she is delighted all of Jalene's wishes have now been "checked off".
"We can check everything off and as her mom it means the world to me that she got to do and see [everything] and everything is checked off now.
"It means so much to me that you reached out to us."
Just an another example of Taylor Swift reaching out to her fans.
