Michael Lohan: Lindsay under control of mother

Lindsay Lohan's father claims his ex-wife Dina controls her.

Michael Lohan has dismissed Lindsay's claims that her court-ordered stint in rehab at the Betty Ford Centre in California is "pointless", because she doesn't have a problem with drugs or alcohol, and that he is to blame for most of her problems.

He told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "She (Lindsay) didn't mean any of it. I think by now we all know that Dina puts her and my other kids up to it."

During a new interview, the 26-year-old actress suggested that a lot of her emotional issues are because of her "crazy" father.

She said: "He won't change. I just think there comes a point where you just kind of have to accept what it is. Whenever I do try to bring him back into my life, he creates chaos for me and uses it to his advantage. He's been really good and then really crazy my whole life.

"One thing that upset me the most when it happened was when he (Michael) recorded me telling him about an argument I had with Mum (sic).

"Mum (sic) and I never argued - this was only the second time we'd ever had a real fight. And then he recorded me talking about it, and gave it to the media. And it created such an untrue, hurtful picture of my relationship with my mother. It broke my heart. Mum tried so hard to keep things civil with my dad, but nothing worked."

However, Michael claims that Dina is responsible for all of Lindsay's troubles.

He said: "Not only is she the root of all the problems but she is the root of all evil in our family.

"I don't hold it against Lindsay at all. It's sad that Dina would continue to put our children especially Lindsay up to this. I truly believe Dina put Lindsay up to this thing she said in the interview in order to save face for all the things people have seen."
