The fine details of the plot of 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' have been kept a closely-guarded secret but in some ways it hardly matters since the joy lies in the telling.
Here Indy, returning to the screen after a remarkable 20-year absence and again with Ford as a still energetic adventurer, sets out to find the skull before the baddies do.
That’s all you need to know since how he tackles the task is the all-important factor - and he does it with lots of thrilling action and dry humour.
It’s the perfect send off to the summer blockbusters, a film that never stints on the excitement and entertainment value. Quite brilliant it is, in fact.
Blanchett makes a terrific baddie and there’s the hint of a possible son of Indy.
Simply don’t miss it, Indy was well worth waiting for.
