Suzanne Shaw's future in the 'Dancing On Ice' contest hangs in the balance as she chipped an ankle bone today when landing awkwardly in rehearsals.
Just last week, the blonde actress and singer knocked 'Hollyoaks' heartthrob and hot favourite Chris Fountain off the top of the leaderboard thanks to a massive 27.5 score for her routine to 'Music' by Madonna.
Her chances of being able to skate tomorrow have now been described as "50/50" however after she sustained the left ankle fracture.
Her ankle was originally injured a few weeks ago when she was trampolining in practice for an unassisted jump on the ITV show.
She collapsed in pain today and medics rushed on to the rink.
Visibly upset, she was carried from the ice and taken to hospital, where an X-ray confirmed the break.
Having returned to Elstree studios, Shaw will undergo intensive physiotherapy.
A source said: "Suzanne will definitely not be able to go back on to the rink today and at the moment its 50/50 as to whether she will skate tomorrow night."
An ITV spokeswoman said: "We have a responsibility to ensure that all the celebrities are fit to perform and Suzanne will only take to the ice if the physio gives her the go-ahead before the show."
It has been a tough week for the ex-Hear'Say star and partner Matt Evers.
Just yesterday, he suffered a cut just below his right eye when Shaw's skateblade hit him in the face.
Last week saw Fountain rack up 27 points dancing to 'Ain't No Sunshine' by Bill Withers after struggling in rehearsals to master a double axel jump.
Emmerdale star and former Page 3 model Linda Lusardi became the latest celebrity to be voted off the ice.
