Irish comedian Deirdre O’Kane has finally answered the question we’ve all been asking, “Will there be a Moone Boy movie?”
And it’s a yes!
The actress spilled the beans to Anthony Savage on Today FM, saying "Yeah, I'd say that will happen. Yeah, the boys really want to do it and I think Sky are happy to pay for it so I'd say next year that will probably rock into production”.
She also talked about how well the Boyle based show is doing stateside.
"There are more viewers of Moone Boy in the US than the UK".

Fresh from her IFTA win for her role as Christina in Noble, she also told the chat-show host that, "winning Best Actress for this movie was really important to me because I dedicated six years of my life to make [it]".
This was Deirdre’s first win after six nominations.
"I've perfected my loser face but I couldn't face another loss," she said.
Congrats Deirdre!
