Jennie McAlpine has hinted Coronation Street's Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs may get married.
The flame-haired actress' character is hoping her boyfriend (Alan Halsall) will be released from prison following his week-long court trial over ex-fiancée Kirsty Soames' (Natalie Gumede) false abuse allegations, when it is in fact she who is the violent partner.
Jennie told TV Extra: "Tyrone's been married once to Molly and almost married Kirsty. Fiz got married in prison, so maybe they could. It's not going to be easy. I don't know what they're going to do."
Although the couple previously dated several years ago, Fiz - who was briefly married to mentally unstable murder John Stape (Graeme Hawley) - realises their re-instated relationship won't be easy.
She added: "Although I think she's chosen the right man this time, a couple of years ago I would have said she's not very good at choosing the right path in life. And even now she's not taking the most straightforward route.
"Tyrone is lovely but there's a lot of baggage hanging over him!"
Meanwhile, the couple are given hope when Kirsty shows her true colours by lashing out at her friend Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh), which marks the end of the former policewoman's deception.
Natalie revealed: "For me, these [attack] scenes are more important than the court case. This is the climax, almost more than seeing Tyrone in court. Kirsty loses her temper and she throws a cup across the room in front of Sally and Julie, and that's when her mask falls.
"Both of them pretend everything's OK but there's this awful moment where Julie realises what Kirsty is really like. Kirsty realises it's over. Julie has seen her for what she is and in a moment of temper she hits Julie."
