Magician David Copperfield claims to have found the mythical "fountain of youth" on a group of islands he has bought in the Bahamas.
The 49-year-old, famous for making the Statue of Liberty disappear and levitating over the Grand Canyon, alleges a hidden source of water somewhere within the four Exuma islands for which he recently paid $65m (€50.6m), have magical healing powers.
He says: "I've discovered a true phenomenon. You can take dead leaves, they come in contact with the water, they become full of life again… Bugs or insects that are near death, come in contact with the water, they'll fly away. It's an amazing thing, very, very exciting."
Copperfield plans to dispatch biologists and geologists to the islands to help him prove his discovery.
