Clark rumoured for Ramsay show appearance

Rylan Clark has been lined up to appear on Gordon Ramsay's Christmas cooking show.

The axed 'X Factor' contestant is rumoured to be joining the TV chef on his festive cookalong programme on Christmas Day.

The annual cookalong, which airs live from Gordon's home on Channel 4, has attracted stars such as 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Russell Grant in the past, and producers are hoping the flamboyant pop wannabe will inject some fun into the programme.

A show insider said: "The production team have been speaking to Rylan and a number of other celebs about appearing live on the show on Christmas Day.

"Rylan is a big fan of Gordon's and was thrilled at the approach. If he can do it he will."

The 24-year-old singer regularly clashed with judge Gary Barlow on 'The X Factor', and will likely give as good as he gets with the notoriously foul-mouthed chef.

The source continued: "Can you imagine Rylan having Christmas lunch with Gordon and his family – it would be an absolute scream."

The former 'X Factor' act has been inundated with TV offers since leaving the show last month.

Rylan is in the midst of a stint as guest entertainment editor on ITV1's 'Daybreak' this week, and he is said to have turned down a spot on Monday's live episode of 'The Only Way is Essex' on ITV2.

'Celebrity Big Brother' producers have also reportedly made him an offer to appear on the next series of the Channel 5 show in January.
