Happy Birthday Cheryl!

Cheryl Cole enjoyed a rose-themed 31st birthday party over the weekend

The 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer, who infamously got a rose tattoo that covered her lower back and entire butt last year, was treated to a lavish three-tier birthday cake adorned in the thorny flowers and several bouquets of red roses.

It's not clear who organised the surprise celebration, but the birthday girl - who officially turned 31 yesterday - looked pleased as she posed for a picture on Instagram with a cocktail in hand, in front of the roses and a romantic arrangement of candles.

Cheryl captioned the picture: "Happy birthday to me!! such a beautiful night... Thank you for all your well wishes #stunning#surprise"

The brunette beauty - who recently began dating French restaurant owner Jean-Bernard Fernardez-Versini - declared the impromptu bash her "best birthday ever" in another Instagram shot of her sumptuous birthday cake.

She wrote: "Red velvet Rose decorated Birthday cake #AllRoserrrything #Bestbirthdayever thank you for your messages"

Cheryl continued the birthday fun on her actual birthday on Monday, as she was thrown another party on a private plane on the way to 'X Factor' auditions in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The star posted a snap with Jean-Bernard and her fellow talent show judges Mel B and Simon Cowell, who all sported party hats.

She wrote: "Birthday selfies on the way to Edinburgh yes. That is Simon in a blue party hat #blame@officialmelb"

But our favourite pic from the weekend, has to be, the tweet posted by fellow girls aloud member Kimberley Walsh “Was this really 10 years ago??!!!!! Happy Birthday to my gorgeous friend @CherylCole hope you have a wonderful day”

So cute!

Happy Birthday Cheryl and welcome back!
