Big Brother is back on Irish TV

Reality TV show Big Brother is making its return to our screens for the first time since 2010.

TV3 announced the news today at a special event hosted by X-Factor’s Rylan Clark and former Irish Big Brother contestant Hazel O’Sullivan.

The channel will air over 200 hours of the famous fly-on-the-wall series over TV3 and 3e.

This also includes airing its spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, or famously known as Big Brother’s Little Brother.

The deal, linked with Endemol Shine, will also see TV3 broadcast Celebrity Big Brother this autumn and January 2016.

“I am delighted to announce the return of Big Brother UK to Irish screens.

"Big Brother and all its spin-offs are large, explosive, constantly evolving, creatively vibrant television properties that appeal to a varied cross section of the audience and will find a perfect home on TV3 and 3e,” TV3’s new director of content, Lynda McQuaid said speaking at the launch today.

This year’s series, hosted by Emma Willis and Ryan Clark, has taken on a timebomb theme and will see a Mad-Men influenced, '60s-style decor for the new house.
