Shelbourne defender Kevin Doherty has received a one-match ban, following his sending off offence against Dundalk last month.
The ban takes effect from February 20, which means he is scheduled to miss the league leaders’ trip to Turner's Cross to play Cork City on Sunday, February 24.
Monaghan United defender John Carroll was handed a two-match suspension at the league’s disciplinary commission meeting and fined €38 after accumulating 11 penalty points while fellow strugglers Galway United will lose two players for a game each.
Midfielder Mark Herrick has reached eight penalty points while Colin Fortune was sent off against Monaghan.
Also suspended was Derry City’s Tommy McCallion.
He will be out for one game having clocked up five penalty points.
Meanwhile, last night’s FAI Cup quarter-final draw between Finn Harps and Dundalk means a replay next Tuesday night which has caused the postponement of that night’s eircom League First Division game between Finn Harps and Sligo Rovers.
