Premiership footballer Jody Morris appeared in court today accused of raping a 20-year-old woman.
The 24-year-old Leeds midfielder is charged with raping the woman in Leeds on October 6 along with co-defendant Kristofer Dickie, 26, of Skelwith Road, Fulham, London.
The pair appeared for a five-minute hearing – their first at Leeds Crown Court, having previously appeared before a district judge at the Magistrates’ Court.
Morris, of Wellington Street, Leeds, spoke only to confirm his name during the brief appearance.
He sat in the dock alongside Dickie wearing a dark grey suit and a red tie over a white shirt.
He was also sporting two large diamond earrings in his left ear.
Both men were given conditional bail to appear for a plea and directions hearing at Leeds Crown Court on March 10.
