Beattie nets Carling player of the month award
Southampton striker James Beattie has been named Carling Premiership player of the month for December.
Beattie kept the Saints clear of the relegation zone with four goals in six games during the month.
The 22-year-old's current tally stands at 10 goals from his last 12 appearances.
