Watford manager Brendan Rodgers has secured his second loan signing of the transfer window after snapping up Chelsea defender Jack Cork for the rest of the season.

Rodgers had already agreed a deal to bring England Under-21 defender Gavin Hoyte to Vicarage Road from Arsenal for the remainder of the campaign.

Now he has returned to his former employers for Cork, the son of former Wimbledon striker Alan, who has had previous loan spells at Southampton, Scunthorpe and Bournemouth.
