The Small Firms Association is calling on the Government to enhance equity finance and investment in small firms in order to encourage future growth.
The business representative body wants to see a greater range of funding options being made available to companies.
The group says Irish firms rely heavily on banks as a source of external finance which the SFA says makes them vulnerable to changes in the banking sector.
