Crooner Barry Manilow today said he may need surgery after breaking his world famous nose by walking into a wall.
The Copacabana showman said he became disorientated when he awoke at his home in Palm Springs, California still thinking he was staying in a Malibu hotel room.
He said: “In the middle of the night, I veered to the left instead of the right and slammed right into the wall.”
He passed out for four hours before coming around to discover an extra bump on his legendary profile.
Manilow, 56, said: “I may have to have my nose fixed and, with this nose, it’s going to require major surgery!”
The star had just spent two weeks in Malibu, producing a Rosemary Clooney tribute album for Bette Midler.
His agent said he was committed to finishing the album and his own recording, Two Nights Live, before seeking a doctor’s advice on surgery to correct his nose.
