Scarlet Flyer bounced back to form under his ideal conditions in the seven-furlong Vini’s Gucci And Pucci Handicap at Goodwood.

Gary Moore put the headgear back on his four-year-old and he cut down his rivals in the dying strides under Fergus Sweeney to record a length-and-a-quarter victory over the 4-1 favourite Blue Java.

Moore said: “He comes to himself at this time of year. This is the first time for a while he has had his ground and everything has gone right for him.”
