New-look Berlusconi appears
Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi attended a Cabinet meeting in Rome today - his first public appearance since undergoing plastic surgery.
The billionaire had not been seen since December 20, fuelling speculation that he might be ill.
But then one of his doctors admitted he has had “a little bit of plastic surgery around his eyes.”
Dr Umberto Scapagnini added: “Don’t ask me anything more because I don’t want to talk about these private matters.”
Newspaper La Stampa said that the plastic surgery was part of a new look that the image-conscious Berlusconi was working on ahead of European elections this spring.
