Late Derry surge sinks Limerick

Derry 0-10 Limerick 0-7

A hat-trick of points late on in the second half helped Derry overcome Limerick in a disappointing All-Ireland SFC Qualifier fourth round tie at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon.

The sides were level 0-7 each with seven minutes remaining, but late points from Gavin Donaghy, Paddy Bradley and Conleith Moran saw Derry advance to the All-Ireland quarter-finals.

Limerick were left to rue not being more than a single point, 0-4 to 0-3, ahead at the break.

Despite playing their third Championship match in 13 days, Limerick battled bravely in the second half and it was only in those closing minutes that Derry finally got on top.
