The county boards of Meath and Waterford are set to change their county crests in order to cash in on much needed revenue.

At present unofficial GAA retailers make use of county crests without having to pay the respective counties for use of the crests.

Dublin and Kilkenny have already patented their own emblems and a Meath spokesman said: "The new crest will be pretty much the same, with the King of Tara remaining in place but the Hill of Tara and Newgrange will be prominent on it also."
