Katie Holmes has hit out at suggestions she has lost control of her life since becoming Tom Cruise's wife in 2006.
The angry actress is tired of reports about her marriage, especially the ones that make her look like the meek and mild wife of a superstar.
And she insists the media couldn't be more wrong.
She told the upcoming issue of the New York Times Style Magazine: "There's a misperception about me that I just became this wallflower, this woman who doesn't have any control of her life. And that's pretty wrong. From the very beginning, I've made choices in my life that have been very strong."
And she dismisses rumours that the romance is a sham, insisting she was smitten with her husband when they first met: "When I met Tom I was completely in love and, yes, I admired him growing up - he's Tom Cruise!
"When I met him, he was so warm and I thought, 'Wow! You can be a superstar and a human being.' He made me feel so amazing."
And Holmes maintains she is far too busy to pay attention to gossip, particularly while she's performing in Broadway play 'All My Sons' every night: "I have too much to do. I'm a mom and an actress with a play to do every night. I can't pay attention to all that noise."
