Harrison has eked vital seconds clear of Niall Maguire, who lost time on today’s first stage when he

spotted the anti-lag system wasn’t switched on.

The top two have moved away from third placed Liam O’Callaghan, although the Kanturk driver trails

Maguire by 14 seconds.

His third place is well pretty well secure as they enter the repeat of the Slea Head and Brandon Creek stages. O’Callaghan, in a McKinstry run Subaru is 27 seconds ahead of the Subaru of Tim

McNulty.

The Subaru dominance is broken by Donal O’Donovan, having lost ground with a broken water injection system, O’Donovan (Toyota Celica) is fifth, trailing McNulty by 12 seconds and six clear of a hard charging Kieran Shaw (Escort WRC).

The top ten is completed by the Subaru’s of Patrick Elliott, J.J. Fleming, Andrew Stewart’s Mitsubishi,

who leads Group N and the Escort Cosworth of Sean Gallagher.

Aaron McHale (Mitsubishi), son of rally ace, Austin, is 20th overall and fourth in the Group N showroom category.
