Leeds have denied they are in talks with Barclaycard Premiership rivals Arsenal over Australian international Harry Kewell.
Leeds admitted Arsenal have expressed an initial interest but refuted claims they are talking with the Gunners over a deal involving Kewell and a player exchange involving a current Arsenal player.
Leeds chairman John McKenzie told the club’s website, www.leedsunited.com: “We still hope Harry will stay but we can’t do anything with regards to our contract talks until he comes back from holiday next week.”
