Everton manager David Moyes made two changes to his side for their crucial UEFA Cup match at Goodison Park.

Lee Carsley and Leon Osman were recalled with Tony Hibbert and Tim Cahill standing down – the latter because he failed to recover from a foot injury in time for this second leg match.

Everton, who went into the match on the back of a 1-0 Barclays Premier League win at Sunderland on Sunday, were hoping to overcome a 2-0 deficit against the Italian side and book a place in the quarter-finals.
