Bangladesh has freed a British journalist and her Italian colleague who had been arrested on suspicion of spreading anti-state propaganda.

Bangladesh has freed a British journalist and her Italian colleague who had been arrested on suspicion of spreading anti-state propaganda.

Briton, Zaiba Naz Malik, and Italian, Leopoldo Bruno Sorrentino, were both ordered to be deported.

They were arrested on November 25 at a border checkpoint.

They were making a documentary about Bangladeshi politics for Channel Four television.

The pair had arrived from London early last month on tourist visas, identifying themselves as teachers.
