Hacketts Bookmakers are to sponsor the Irish autumn double at the Curragh this year.

The firm will back the 'Hacketts Autumn Double' with €10,000 on offer to the trainer who saddles the winner of both the Irish Cambridgeshire on August 31 and the Irish Cesarewitch on September 28.

"We are very grateful to Hacketts Bookmakers for increasing their support of the Curragh and I am confident that their innovative initiative to introduce a trainer's bonus will help boost entries and ultimately raise the profile of both races," said Curragh general manager Paul Hensey.

John Hackett, the bookmaking firm's managing director, added: "We are delighted to sponsor two of Ireland's historic, competitive and valuable handicaps and our objective is to establish them as the most sought after races in the Irish Autumn Flat racing programme."

Prize money for both races will total €200,000.
