Portsmouth salvage point against Reds

Liverpool 1 Portsmouth 1

Portsmouth substitute Matthew Taylor salvaged an FA Cup fifth round replay with a second half equaliser at Anfield that left Liverpool frustrated.

Michael Owen had scored his 150th career goal for the club in the first half, and Liverpool had battered away for most of the time that followed searching for the goal that would secure their passage into the quarter finals.

But brave Portsmouth battled for their lives and on 77 minutes Taylor popped up to smash home the equaliser that ensures a Fratton Park replay next Sunday.
