Ascot's meeting on Wednesday has been abandoned after the track was found to be unfit for racing at an inspection.
Heavy weekend rain had put the televised Flat fixture in jeopardy.
Clerk of the course Nick Cheyne said: "The stewards and the inspector of courses looked at the course at and found parts of the track to be waterlogged and unfit for racing.
"Even if the weather stayed dry the course would still be unfit for racing on Wednesday."
