Edinburgh back Chris Paterson travels to Poland today to join the Scotland training camp in Spala.

Paterson underwent a pelvic scan yesterday but does not need surgery.

Scottish Rugby’s rehabilitation physiotherapist Stephen Mutch said: “The consultants who reviewed Chris yesterday were satisfied with the pelvic scan and we are now initiating a gradual programme of rehabilitation.

“Chris will be under the care of the Scotland medical team in Spala where the Scotland management are keen to have him involved on the planning front and to get his valuable input as a senior player.”
