Five children have died in a house fire in Holland.

Police have arrested the father on suspicion of starting the blaze.

The children, aged five to 12, were trapped in the flames in the southern Dutch town of Roermond.

A sixth child and their mother are in hospital with severe injuries.

A seventh child is staying with a relative.

Neighbours said they had heard an argument in the house before the fire broke out.
