Streisand 'working on most expensive album ever'
Although she performed her “farewell” concert tour last year, Barbra Streisand has not given up singing.
She is reportedly working with hundreds of musicians on what those involved are calling “the most expensive record album in history".
New York Post columnist Cindy Adams reports that an independent film could be made for the money the recording is costing because Streisand is in total charge of the whole production and is continually remixing, re-recording and re-rehearsing.
The album, a selection of songs from Broadway musicals, is expected to spawn a television special.
