Sunday’s card at Leopardstown, featuring the valuable Pierse Hurdle, will need to pass a 7.30am inspection on the morning of the meeting.

A recent deluge of rain in Ireland has left conditions very testing, with the ground currently heavy but raceable.

As well as the Pierse Hurdle, Leopardstown are due to stage the Grade Two Paddy Fitzpatrick Memorial Novice Chase.
