Cork City FC is in negotiation with players on paying their wages, the club has stated.
The club said that while it wants to honour all existing obligations to the end of the season, this is only possible by phasing the payments over a slightly extended period.
Cork City has now issued a written proposal to the players and is awaiting their response.
"Cork City Football Club wish to confirm that they are in negotiation with all staff with a view to paying everybody in full as per their contracts," said a statement.
"While a great many businesses are implementing pay cuts at this time, CCFC wish to honour all existing obligations to the end of the season.
