Former Birds Of A Feather star Linda Robson is checking in to Crossroads hotel as one of its new star line-up.

Kate O'Mara, known to millions for her role in 70s soap-at-sea Triangle is also joining the cast of the show.

The pair will join up in the New Year when the revamped daytime show returns to ITV1.

Robson plays a jailbird mother of three sisters, while O'Mara plays a cigar-smoking magistrate who crosses swords with the hotel's owners.

Also joining the cast in the near future are Jane Asher and Emma Noble.

Crossroads executive producer Yvon Grace said: "Viewers will be treated to a succession of stars who will be at the centre of some explosive guest storylines.

"Linda and Kate are playing radically different characters but both are equally compelling."
