Smurfit third-quarter profits suffer drop compared to 2007
Packaging group Smurfit Kappa has announced pre-tax profits of €61m for the third quarter of 2008.
This figure is down from €105.8m at the same time last year, and the firm expect challenging conditions to continue.
"Against that backdrop, the group is pleased to confirm that it remains on target to deliver the expected level of financial performance in 2008," CEO Gary McGann said.
