Police in central Switzerland say three Israeli citizens have been killed and five seriously injured after the minibus they were travelling in was hit by a train.

Police in central Switzerland say three Israeli citizens have been killed and five seriously injured after the minibus they were travelling in was hit by a train.

The crash occurred early on Monday near the town of Wolfenschiessen, about 50kms south of Zurich.

Police say the rail crossing had a warning light but no barrier. Nobody in the train was hurt.
