Singer Amy Winehouse is back in hospital after reacting badly to medication, according to reports today.

A spokeswoman for the star said she had “a bad reaction to the combination of medication she has currently been prescribed”.

Ms Winehouse was admitted to a private clinic in London after falling ill on Sunday.

A friend told the Daily Mirror: “Amy is on a drug replacement programme and has had bad reactions to her medication before. Doctors want to sort out why this is happening.”

The 25-year-old missed her husband’s court appearance yesterday because of the illness.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, was in court in a failed attempt to have his 27-month sentence for grievous bodily harm and perverting the cause of justice cut. He was moved from Pentonville Prison to a drug rehabilitation centre in Surrey on November 5.

The couple have well-reported drug problems.

In January this year, footage obtained by The Sun newspaper appeared to show Ms Winehouse inhaling fumes from a crack pipe after a 19-minute drugs binge in which she snorted ecstasy and cocaine and admitted to downing six Valium.

She entered a rehab clinic in a bid to beat her addiction days after the video was released.
