Sought-after coach Dave O'Mahony has decided to move to Clonakilty as head coach for next season.

The former Ireland scrum-half has made an outstanding start to his coaching career by taking Dolphin from Division Two and into the top eight of the Division One.

O'Mahony spent five seasons at Dolphin and has also experienced coaching time with the Munster U19s and as an assistant to Michael Bradley on the Ireland tour to New Zealand and Australia last summer.

Paul Buckley and Eddie Knowles will assist as backs and forwards coaches, respectively.
