Russia will be without captain Yegor Titov, midfielder Marat Izmailov and striker Dmitri Sytchev for next month's European Cup qualifier against Ireland.
Titov and Izmailov are injured along with Lokomotiv Moscow defender Dmitri Sennikov while Sytchev has been dropped from the squad following his decision to walk away from Spartak Moskow while still under contract.
Coach Valeri Gazzaev's 24-man squad features eight CSKA Moscow players, while Viktor Onopko, who recently celebrated 100 caps with Russia is back in the fold, after Gazzaev reversed his initial decision to drop him along with a group of other long-serving candidates.
Russia will start their preparations for the Ireland game on 2 September in Bor base in Moscow area. The game itself takes place on 7 September in Moscow.
