Michael Moore posts plan to save America to Facebook

American documentary film-maker Michael Moore has put together a five point plan for recovering from the shock that is the appointment of Donald Trump as the 45th President of America.

In a Facebook post entitled: 'Morning after to-do list' Mr Moore outlines a number of things that he feels needs to be done in order to restore the harmonious balance needed in the United States at present.

The first of his five points is 'Take over the Democratic Party and return it to the people. They have failed us miserably.”

Continuing the all guns blazing, gung ho approach, his next point is to 'fire all pundits, predictors, pollsters and anyone else in the media who had a narrative they wouldn't let go off..'

Quite a few people in this category.

Next he focuses on the Democratic politicians and asks those unwilling to “fight, resist and obstruct in the way Republicans did against President Obama every day for eight full years” should step aside and allow the rest stop the 'meanness and the madness that's about to begin.”

His fourth point is to acknowledge what has happened and accept that this occured due to neglected Americans and their despair.

Mr Moore's final point focuses on Clinton's win of the popular vote and his views on the 'arcane, insane 18th century idea called the Electoral College.'

The film-maker concludes by saying that the majority of Americans wanted Hillary Clinton to be president and to take solace in that.

'We live in a country where the majority agree with the 'liberal' position. We just lack the liberal leadership to make that happen.'

Moore, who recently released a documentary called Trumpland which focused on why America should choose Clinton over Trump and called a number of important states that were key in Trump's victory.
