Tipperary hurling star Tommy Dunne has warned the GAA of a possible players' revolt over the issue of out of competition drug testing which will kick in next June.

Tipperary hurling star Tommy Dunne has warned the GAA of a possible players' revolt over the issue of out of competition drug testing which will kick in next June.

Former All-Ireland winning skipper Dunne says the GAA is an amateur association and that players should not be subjected to the same rules as professionals in other sports.

Dunne said: "We have been told what you can and cannot take if you are unwell and we just have to be aware of it.

"It leaves us at big disadvantage in that we cannot just get an over the counter remedy for a cold now."
