Police say an 88-year-old man fatally shot his two adult daughters and himself in northern Finland.

Police say an 88-year-old man fatally shot his two adult daughters and himself in northern Finland.

Health workers say the gunman also critically wounded his bedridden wife at a health centre before killing himself with a handgun.

The shootings occurred this afternoon in the town of Ylitornio, 500 miles north of the capital, Helsinki.

Police say they have no further details, but are investigating the case.
