Ulster have signed Scottish International centre Robert Dewey on a two-year contract in another indication that the Northern province are determined to close the gap on Munster and Leinster.

Ulster have signed Scottish International centre Robert Dewey on a two-year contract in another indication that the Northern province are determined to close the gap on Munster and Leinster.

Dewey travelled to South Africa with the Scottish squad on the 2006 summer tour. He did not play in either Test match but has been involved in Scotland's Six Nations campaign this season and scored a try against England at Twickenham in the final moments of the game.

Former Belfast Harlequins prop Jarleth Carey is returning to Belfast from Rotherham Titans and has signed a two-year contract with Ulster.
