Lloyds TSB said today it was on course for a “very satisfactory” year after indicating it would meet expectations for profits of £3.7bn (€5.47bn).
The group struck a similar tone to trading updates from other banking giants in recent days, while adding that credit quality had not deteriorated.
In retail banking, the group said that levels of bad debt were at a similar level in the second half of the year to the first.
