Peretz says no more restraint toward Palestinian militants

Israel will no longer exhibit restraint against Palestinian militants involved in anti-Israel operations, defence minister Amir Peretz said today.

Israel will no longer exhibit restraint against Palestinian militants involved in anti-Israel operations, defence minister Amir Peretz said today.

Military officials yesterday said that Peretz had postponed a large-scale air offensive against Gaza militants for a day or two to give the Palestinians more time to stop rocket attacks against southern Israel.

“We will act with all our might and use all our means against any group that acts against us,” Peretz said.
