Marc Warren joined fellow Scot Stephen Gallacher as a course record holder at Celtic Manor with a dazzling 63 on the final day of the Wales Open.
Warren even had a bogey on his card as he matched Gallacher's display yesterday.
Resuming four-over-par and with no chance of victory - German Marcel Siem was 11-under overnight - the 29-year-old turned in 33 and birdied the 10th and 11th.
His dropped shot came on the next, but Warren birdied the next two and then eagled the driveable 377-yard 15th.
With the long 18th still to come there was an obvious chance to lower the mark, but Warren parred the last three for an inward 30 and so finished the tournament at four-under.
