Jean Todt insists there will be no let-up in Ferrari’s charge towards more Formula One world championships.
The Frenchman has overseen a remarkable success story at Maranello, capped by this year’s record-breaking season for Michael Schumacher.
But while celebrating that achievement at Monza with Ferrari’s partisan Italian fans, Todt stressed his team are all geared up for a renewed threat from their Formula One rivals.
He said: “We are very satisfied with everything that has happened this year. Obviously, we need to look to the future, which will be very competitive, given who we are up against, both in commercial and sporting terms.
“Our group is united, strong, stable, passionate and motivated. All this gives us the right lift to go forward in the same way.”
Schumacher was on hand to demonstrate the car which took him to his seventh world title and he confessed the enormity of that success is only just sinking in, a week into Formula One’s off-season.
“We are used to always thinking about the next race, the next championship,” said the German.
“It is part of way of doing things, so there is not much time to reflect on what we are going through right now in terms of seeing the bigger picture.
“But it is great to be part of a day like this, with everyone together to celebrate a really unbelievable season.”
