Ashley Cole has now been accused of cheating on wife Cheryl with an American woman.

The Girls Aloud singer has been rocked by further allegations of soccer star Ashley Cole’s infidelity after 28-year-old Ann Corbitt claimed to have slept with him when his club Chelsea toured America last July.

A source close to the local government worker said: “Ann and a friend got talking to Ashley in a bar in Seattle. They hit it off straight away and they spent most of the rest of that evening by each other's side.”

Ann – the third woman to be linked with the sportsman in recent weeks - and Ashley then reportedly returned to the luxury Four Seasons hotel and spent the night together.

The friend added to The Sun newspaper: “Ann said she spent the night with Ashley and then left the next morning. She never saw him or spoke to him after that.”

Ann is now said to be considering selling her story, despite fears the soccer ace is trying to “silence” her after she began receiving mysterious phone calls.

The friend said: "She believes Ashley's associates are trying to silence her."

Following allegations that 29-year-old Ashley – who was accused of cheating on Cheryl, 26, with hairdresser Aimee Walton in January 2008, sending raunchy pictures of himself to Sonia Wild, 28, and sleeping with 30-year-old secretary Vicki Gough, the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer flew out to Los Angeles to work on new music.

Despite looking pale and drawn and telling hotel staff she “wanted to be left alone”, Cheryl has maintained a brave face throughout the allegations and has been seen out with dancer Derek Hough three times since arriving in the US.

However, friends insist she is just friends with Derek, who is set to appear in the video to her new single ‘Parachutes’.

One pal said: “Derek is a good friend, but just a friend. They enjoy each other’s company.”
