Measured Tempo may bypass the Musidora Stakes at York on Wednesday in preference to an engagement at Newbury two days later.
Godolphin’s unbeaten three-year-old, a general 10-1 chance for Vodafone Oaks glory, could instead run in the Listed Swettenham Stud Fillies’ Stakes on Friday.
Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford told the Racing Post: “She will also be entered for the Newbury race and there will be no decision where she goes for a few days yet.
“Obviously the Oaks is in the back of our mind – we like her a lot.
“She has done well over the winter and now she needs the opportunity to prove herself.”
